Starry Heaven is currently recruiting several positions.

Donations & Scanners
We buy the manga we scanlate for you out of our own (well, mostly Cheebs’) pockets. It would be incredibly helpful if people could help us out and help us to buy manga to scanlate for you. For donations, a few bucks through Paypal goes a long way to buying a new manga. For more information, please check out the donations page.
Scanners, on the other hand, require to have bought the actual book beforehand, and must possess a scanner. Scans must be big and in the best quality possible. If you are interested in scanning for us, please contact Cheebs: j00lz.style at gmail dot com

Japanese Translators
Japanese translators must be able to understand grammar, recognize modern-day slang, as well as have an extensive vocabulary. Requirements are that everything be translated, including bubbles, side comments, narration, and sound effects. Translators fluent in the language are preferred, however students who can prove they have an understanding and ability to translate well from Japanese to English may be accepted if they pass our test. Chinese Translators
Chinese translators must be able to understand grammar, recognize modern-day slang, as well as have an extensive vocabulary. Requirements are that everything be translated, including bubbles, side comments, narration, and sound effects (however, if you cannot read anything because the scans are blurry, and the sound effects are in Japanese and therefore you are unable to read them, that’s fine). Translators fluent in the language are preferred, however students who can prove they have an understanding and ability to translate well from Chinese to English may be accepted if they pass our test. Japanese Proofreaders
I need one or two Japanese proofreaders, and yes there will be a test. And as a requirement, proofreaders must know both Japanese and English. For more information, please check out our page on the forum.

Editors
We are always looking for editors. Editors must be able to use photoshop and make the scanlations look the best they can. If you’re interested in being an editor, please check out our forum for more information.
